calls - no identification then hangs up

OMG! the same happened to me just an hour ago. Today is Dec 22,2010 and the first guy was an indian. I couldn't understand a word of what he was saying and I am ESL my English is not perfect but he sounded awful. So he passed the call to a guy that sounded from England. Very rude and as mentioned before a loan I took. I said I applied but never go anything but he said. I didn't say you had it but you have to pay $5,000 I just laugh and say go right ahead. You have to prove. In U.S.A are laws.

They are a collection agency, call and find out who they want.. if its a wrong phone# let them know, I called back and paid, I had an outstanding balance for a bill sent after my change of address, i didnt let my dr office know so it had been assigned to them.

I believe this is Portfolio Recovery! I have no idea what they want, but they call me non stoop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they call my phone 2-3 a day and when i pickup no say anything had it bump up my phone bill

"account services" initially a recording tells you that you only have a few weeks before your opportunity to lower your credit card interest rates expires. You can press 9 for more information, I did, a woman came on and when I said it sounded interesting, what company was she with, she hung up...poor sucker has to earn a living lying for some likely abusive boss who is a thief. I am buying a very unpleasant tool that when I blow it into the phone, will burst an ear drum. I plan to use it from now on with telemarketers...they deserve it. I am on the do not call registry so they will have to sue their bosses for their loss of hearing. If more of us did this...they would stop.

Calling and hanging up everyday sometimes up to 4 or 5 times per day..

Keep calling and leave no message. I am on the NO CALL LIST. Stop calling.

Told me his name is Jimmy Gibson from Chase. Started the call very friendly, pretending to be someone I know. He asked for a person by name; I told him he had the wrong number. He said no he didn't, that I sounded just like the person on the answering machine. DUH! I do not leave my name on the answering machine, so of course that is my voice...just not my name.
